Re-listing due to another non-paying buyer. I will accept reasonable offers, so if you make an offer PLEASE be prepared to pay for it!
This is a Baldwin C-400 digital organ that I am selling as a project, or for parts. This organ had extensive mouse damage when I got it. I had to have several cables remade, repair corroded metal, gave the cabinet an extensive cleaning, and various other things that I spent many late nights on.
All the issues with this organ are described below to the best of my knowledge. I had the organ partially playable, but walked away from it for 2 months and it has now developed a new issue where it has stopped producing sound.
The sound is barely audible and distorted through an external speaker turned up all the way. This may be an easy fix, or it may be a sign of further damage - I cannot guarantee anything. This organ outputs a MIDI signal for the manuals and pedals, though the expression pedals and pistons do not transmit a signal. I have not tested the MIDI output. I had a goal of completing this instrument and having it 100% functional for home use. but I am moving soon and cannot take it with me.
I do have a professional electronics technician booked to repair the organ, but he currently has a backlog of projects. If the organ is repaired, the price will go up!
This organ is being sold as a project! Due to its condition, the price is negotiable, feel free to make a reasonable offer, but be prepared to pay for it. I will not sell to accounts with 0% feedback without sending me a message first.

Below a list of what has been done to the instrument:
Expression pedals removed, corrosion to mounting bracket repaired,
Exp. pedal surrounds painted black, corrosion repaired
Pedalboard contacts removed and cleaned
corrosion on pedalboard brackets partially cleaned off
pedalboard completely disassembled for cleaning
extensive mouse damage cleaned up and disinfected
piston circuit board was broken in half, I had it professionally repaired
Various connections cleaned
Below is a list of things that still need addressing:
First and foremost, this organ only produces a faint sound
Expression & Crescendo pedals do not work
Many drawknobs do not turn off on their own
divisional presets do not always work properly as a result of (repaired) broken board
pedalboard is missing the surround for the top
a few drawknob lights were robbed for another organ
various chips and scratches here and there
the speakers work but the surrounds are gone
Some capacitors may need to be replaced
There is still corrosion on many metal parts inside the organ.
Please note that there is an identical organ for sale on eBay that is 100% working. While this organ is at the same location, this one is not represented by the business selling the working unit.
This organ could make a great MIDI controller (MIDI untested), could be used for parts for another organ, or could be repaired with the right parts and patience. I am moving and can’t take this project with me - my loss is your gain. This is a large 3 manual console with a full 32 note pedalboard.
The organ is available for inspection and pickup in Herrin, Illinois - 4.5 hours south of Chicago, 2.5 hours from St. Louis, 3.5 hours from Nashville and Louisville. No delivery is offered, this organ is listed for pickup only. Buyer is responsible for having the proper vehicle, blankets, and straps. You will need a large cargo van, trailer, or box truck. Assistance will be provided for loading at no additional cost during normal business hours.
We will not load into the bed of a pickup truck! We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper securement during transport. We are not responsible for any expenses incurred by attempting to pick up the organ with an improper vehicle.
We have several Uhaul dealers close by if a trailer or truck rental is needed. We are happy to meet by appointment outside of normal business hours for inspection and loading. Any interested buyers are welcome to come inspect the organ before making an offer.
Once again, this organ is a project!

No owners manuals, service manuals, documentation of any kind, cables, spare parts, or accessories are included.
