Wangerin 656 PIPE ORGAN Milwaukee WI Works!!! Early 1930s.
Here is a super cool old Pipe organ from the early 1930s. This was made from the Wangerin Organ Co out of Milwaukee WI. I was told the company went out of business in the 1940s. I am Not sure if the exact year of this. This has around 350 pipes so it’s not to big but it does turn on and play. My guess is it will need to be gone through. This isn’t perfect gas scratches and imperfections. One of the front pipes is damaged as you can see from the photos. This will have to be dismantled and removed. Located in Cresco Iowa 52136. Have tell the end of the year to remove or so. Thank you will try and answer any questions I can. I want to see this be saved!
656 is probably the Wangerin opus (serial) number of the organ which would date it to the early 1930's from what I can see in the pipe organ data base. It shows no record of this particular organ. An organ of 6 ranks probably has about 350 pipes. Some more information!
