Very Rare, 2 piece set of Peter Rabbit nursery china set, #CM6466, part of the Barlaston group.
The 2 piece set includes: 8 1/4"plate and 5 7/8" diameter /1.75" high bowl. Both pieces have copyrights on the bottom.
The plate also has a stamp of "10 U 54" and the bowl has "11J 56" probably depicting the origination date and craftsman.
The design is much simpler than the modern designs, and features Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Tom Kitten, Jemima
Puddleduck and others.
The set is in good condition. The backs have some discoloration and wear, but this definitely confirms the set being 66 years old.
Please keep in mind this is a vintage piece as is being sold in "as in condition" as seen in photos, zoom in for details, slight glare from camera may be present.
